International Day of Happiness
Smiles all around!
Did you know that Thursday March 20th was International Day of Happiness? UPAVIM never misses a chance for a celebration so we flew into full force happiness. Pahola, our school Director, and some of the other teachers kicked off the day by presenting the children with a poem all about the importance of loving ourselves and being happy with who we are. They ended the poem with a “self-hug” that everybody took part in and left all giggling.
We were treated to a morning of performances, organized by our Sixth Graders. The young teenagers broke away from their “epitome of cool” images, donned their clown and mime costumes and poured their hearts into comedic sketches for all their younger school friends to enjoy. We determined Happy Day a huge success as every face in the school was plastered with a smile from ear to ear all day long.
Thank you Sixth Grade!
