UPAVIM goes to Chicago!

The women of UPAVIM would like to extend a huge thank you to First United Methodist Church of Illinois for organizing such a wonderful trip for five of our UPAVIMA’s to the beautiful city of Chicago. The women were invited on a week long experience, and had the opportunity to meet many different people and visited a variety of places. The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the Guatemalan women to learn from another culture.  The women certainly feel they learned a lot from all the lovely people they met and hope the people they met were able to learn from them also. We are so thankful for the way the group was embraced by everyone they met. It was an amazing experience and the women of UPAVIM are grateful for the partnership with the First Methodist Church. They look forward to the continuing relationship!

While visiting a Montessori School, our own Montessori teacher, Dina, was able to read with the children and feel right at home.
