Happy Mother’s Day from UPAVIM

IMG_5819

Does Mother’s Day always sneak up on you?? Honor your mother or any of the inspiring women in your life this Mother’s Day by supporting mothers in Guatemala and we’ll take care of the card! Make a donation of at least $25 to UPAVIM by April 20th and we’ll send a beautiful card to your mother informing her a donation was made in her honor by you, her wonderful and thoughtful child. You get to support the amazing women’s cooperative UPAVIM in Guatemala City and your mother will be touched that you thought to honor her in such a meaningful way. Its win-win!!

UPAVIM is currently raising money for several wonderful and important projects!! You can designate your donation to go to a specific project or we can use it where it is most needed.

Our construction project to finish the final floor of our school is underway but we need your help to get to the finish line!! This 4th and final floor will enable us to create more space for our school, increase our enrollment, enlarge the library, and build a computer lab. On the roof we are even building a safe and lovely playground to let children escape the gang-infested streets.

UPAVIM also continues to fundraise to help children in our community go to school. Even the small cost of school supplies can be prohibitive for some families. Your donation of $45 to our scholarship program will help one child go to school and also help pay for our vibrant tutoring center called Reforzimiento.

You can make a donation through paypal or by sending a check. Please designate who you would like us to send the card to either in a note or through the “special instructions” option through paypal at the time of your donation. Donations must be received by April 20th to allow us enough time to get the card to your mother for Mother’s Day!!
