Thank You!!! Thanks to the numerous UPAVIM supporters these children have been given the amazing opportunity to continue studying when it otherwise may have not been an option for them. Keeping these young minds in school is not only important for them as individuals, but it is an important investment into the futures of their […]
Meet Johana Johana, the nurse in the UPAVIM medical clinic has a true passion for helping others. She’s the first person to welcome you into the clinic and the last person to wish you well on your way out. Johana’s dedication and determination make her the perfect person for the job. Yesterday, we introduced Daniel, […]
Johanna worries for the future; she worries and does not know what they will do when his current device stops working or what they will do as he continues to grow and will need a bigger size. It is taxing having to constantly worry because it is not an if but a when that Daniel will need a new device. She prays a lot and wonders if and where the help for prosthetic ears will come from.
At UPAVIM, we strongly support the use of volunteers in the non-profit industry. We never support the exploitation of workers (paid or unpaid.) Ideally, as our business grows, we will be able to continue to hire more employees and help contribute to the local economy, as well as that of La Esperanza. As members of the Fair Trade Federation, we are vigorously screened for our commitments to Fair Trade.

Green America certifies businesses that are committed to using business as a platform for social change. Since 1982, Green America has evaluated over 8,000 small businesses. […]

Classes resumed in mid-January after a week and a half of teacher training and a lot of […]

It was an eye-opening and exciting experience for all those who were involved […]
